  • Reduce the time and effort needed to get your inventory ready for sale.
  • Help your dealership’s online inventory stand out from the crowd.

On average, Americans are exposed to between 4,000 and 10,000 advertisements every day. From commercials on TV to billboards on your way to work, all the way down to the business name on the pen you got at some conference over a year ago, we are constantly bombarded with advertising messages.

And you know better than anyone how important it is to catch your customers’ attention. What makes your store different from the one a few miles away? How exactly are you highlighting the four-door, black interior, blue sedan to stand out from the competition?

Better yet, how long is it taking you to do all of this? Here are three ways to leverage AI to elevate your dealership’s inventory and get it done faster.

Unique Descriptions

Imagine you’re looking for a vehicle. You search for it online, and you come across a dealership website and in the “Description of this Vehicle” section it reads: “At [redacted], we go miles beyond the extra mile. That’s why we provide you with a convenient, fast, and hassle-free car buying experience that puts you in the driver’s seat.”

Now stop imagining, because this is real. The description of their business went on for several more sentences, never mentioning anything about the vehicle once.

Description of a dealership instead of a vehicle

If a section is labeled “Description of this Vehicle”, it should describe the vehicle. Otherwise, your customers are going to get frustrated and look elsewhere.

But it can be a struggle to create unique descriptions for every vehicle. It’s easy to get caught in the ‘but wait, there’s more’ cycle, adding unnecessary details. Or getting so busy important details are skipped. The worst-case scenario is someone cutting corners with a quick copy and paste resulting in missing or even inaccurate info.

So how do you quickly and efficiently create top-notch descriptions that illustrate the vehicle that’s actually sitting on your lot?

Leveraging AI that pulls features directly from the VIN is one way to guarantee your description is accurate, up-to-date, and highlights the key items your customers care about so when they search online, they are drawn to your dealership. Plus, your team can do it quickly!

Consistent and Polished Photos

When a customer visits your inventory page, what’s the first thing they see? When they do a Google search on inventory, what stands out most? The answer to both questions is your photos.

When images of vehicles are taken against various backgrounds or at different angles, it’s not always clear the car is on your lot. It can also make it seem like you’re trying to hide something if one car is under a shady tree and another is in the showroom.

The best AI is able to apply subtle backgrounds while still maintaining the original vehicle images and automatically apply them to all your vehicle images. Creating polished photos that are consistent across your website helps build brand trust and recognition for your customers.

Key Feature Call Outs

Wouldn’t it be nice to quickly and easily see key vehicle features or dealership promotions as you’re scrolling through images on your website? Yeah, your customers think so too!

When your images show a deal or sale that’s happening, it entices customers to click. Even if you don’t currently have a promotion going on, having relevant marketing information or key vehicle features on your images draws your customers’ eye. If you’re using a third-party website to help advertise, having highlights on your pictures will lead to more clicks to your dealership website and away from the competition.

You don’t have to hire someone with a graphic design degree to create these images either. Utilizing AI, you can have an overlay on your images with marketing or promotional information or highlights for the vehicle pulled directly from the VIN that will also match the description. This is a great way to help your inventory stand out with little effort.

When you get vehicles on your lot, you want to get them on your website and back off your lot as quickly as possible. The right AI tool can help you do this faster with accuracy and professionalism.

Develop unique descriptions, highlight key vehicle features, and generate consistent image backgrounds to optimize your brand consistency and reduce the time and effort needed to get your vehicle inventory ready for sale.
