1. Checks and Balances
How much money have you had to write off at the end of the year for missing parts? Keep an eye on your real obsolescence figures throughout the year so you aren’t stuck writing off a large amount at once. The Parts Inventory Summary shows you the Parts system balance for each vendor, plus the total for parts that haven’t sold in over 12 months.

2. Keep a Closer Eye on Service
How many repair orders are currently open in the Service application where parts or service dollars have been applied? The Service Work in Process Aging module gives you a quick view of all the open repair orders that would show up in your Service Work in Process report. Drill down for more details so you can see what needs to be addressed.
3. The Now and Then
Analyzing expense account trends over time is a good way to evaluate where you stand now and to predict where you might be soon. The new Accounting Trend Analysis graph makes this even easier since you can see the last two months compared to the same period last year, plus “next month last year” totals for a quick glance at the year-over-year performance of any G/L account.
